Prodigious had been alone all day, no family in sight, no entertainment, the only thing brute had going for him was a full stomach. Bastard was also getting sleepy, the light storm falling into a blanket on his thick fur. Brute had also decided, for the first time in his life, to make himself comfortable within the branches of a thick tree. It was unusually low to the ground, just low enough to allow beast to wobilingly climb it and lay down. An odd sight. Only living sibling had retreited for the evening, having withdrawn to the shelter of the family den, even though she would be the only one there. Oldest brother, however, would remain alert and outside, hidden under the shelter of the leaves and the falling snow, though one only had to look up to spot him.
xMidnight Madness opened his mouth in a great big gaping yawn. White ivory teeth flashed briefly in the moonlight before he closed his maw with a snap. Wolf tried not to look bored, yet a second yawn that escaped betrayed him. Brute sighed and rolled his head back, suddenly becoming intensely interested in the night sky. Snowflakes that drifted slowly down were sucked into his great mouth. Grinning with pleasure, Midnight's pink tongue lolled out between his teeth, catching the frozen flakes as they fell. Soon enough, brute was bored with this sport and closed his maw. He sighed again and rested on his paws, turning his head to stare the other two wolves.
Rasue. The enormous and thick peltage colorated of a pure and sublime alabaster tone was the exact source of heat the incredible femme would need. It was soft and plentiful, covering all of her frame, managing to keep her body temperature constant. Elegantly, the heavenly female wolf pawed at the snowy lands, soon finding a quite comfortable spot. The sight was just beautiful. The running waters of the river, the dark shinny sky, the minute snowflakes soft rain. She just loved the winter and she loved it even more for her pelt, only that season, became white as her father's. Rasue lied down on the snow, sure the low temperature would not reach her skin. Attentive eyes soon caught the movement of another two wolven creatures, the three-colored one climbed a tree as easily as possible, while the other one just lied there, a few steps from herself. Their scent soon reached and invaded her nasals. They didn't seem to mean no harm and, apparently, one of them didn't even noticed her presence -for sure she was too well camuflated for him to see. In the other hand, she felt the other's attention directed to her and, heavenly gracefull as only she could be, a nod was directed to him: a good evenning greet.
Prodigious's attention was broken from...whatever it was that he was paying attention to. Midnight hues were trying their hardest to blend, however all efforts had seemingly failed. Nostrils inhaled two separate scents, one male and one female, nasal cavity overwhelmed. Beast was relieved to exhale and inhale once again a breath of fresh air. Raptor claws clung to branches for dear life, brute was not meant to be in trees, but he figured he would try anything once. Thick whipchord swayed slowly, rising and falling rhythmically, sharp barbs remained hidden within lush fur for later use. Curled ram horns perched atop cranium elegantly, a sign of his Rannok race. "Uh...hi," he said quietly, forepaws crossing, claws retracting only for a moment, only to cling to the branches again.
xMidnight Madness pawed at the snow impatiently. Eventually, he dug through the top layer into the dirt below. Soil clung to his fur, and the curious brute licked it off, only to spit it out in disgust. Whimpering, Midnight lapped at the snow to clear his tongue. Wolf turned towards the other two, eyes brightening to see that they had responded back. He really hated being ignored, which occured often due to his childish desposition. His pink tongue lolled out once more, auds perking up and tail sent waging furiously, spewing snow all over the place until the appendage nearly dug its own messy hole into the ground. Midnight grinned, looking more like an overgrown pup than a full grown brute. "Hello!" he barked cheerfully. "Nice night out, huh?"
[Prodigious had to leave after this post.]
Rasue tilted her head a little, deep grey-ish occulars studying the body expression of both wolves. The one nearest to her seemed a little... childish. Ras didn't know if she really liked it, but, prudently, she decided just to be kind -even though she didn't have natural disposition to befriend someone who was not her own species. Elegant femme just didn't think it was too smart to get into trouble in such a cold night for the other wolves -she wasn't feeling such a low temperature herself, a feature attached to the abundance of her fur. Soon, her attention was directed to the other wolf, the three-colored one. Who was, and that was really unusual to a wolf, upon a three. His nails were supperficially wounding the branches, and he did seem a little...- He just left. Rasue watched the male jumping upon the snow and leaving into the night, in a hushed run. Her eyes and auditors were directed once again to the ebon male, a sound comming from deep her throad, a wolfish sound, in a kind and gracefull request for his name and any other information he felt like sharing.
xMidnight Madness opened his great maw, curling back his lip to bare white teeth. With great gusto, he tore into the black rabbit he had butchered and saved for this precious moment. Saliva drooled off one fang and slobbered all over the bright snow. Brute paused in his messy meal as he sensed motion besides him. Midnight glanced up to studiously watch the other brute leave. Ears drooped slightly in disappointment at the leaving of a companion, but soon, all attention was diverted to the white femme across from him. He glanced at his rabbit as if in deep thought, then pushed it towards Ras, offering the half-eaten corpse to her. He licked his chops, and cleared his throat. "Midnight," he replied, "That's wut they called me." He proceeded to snap at the snow, swallowing huge mouthfuls whole to relinquish his thirst. Brute didn't seem to bother to explain who "they" were, nor did he seem to want to. Midnight looked up again. "What's your name?"
